Sustainable agriculture projects provide long-term opportunities to disadvantaged communities, particularly in the rural areas. By teaching communities sustainable agriculture techniques, they are able to provide food for themselves.
The main aim of a sustainable agriculture project is to give people the tools to help themselves. By weaning people off the need for welfare, they can become self-sufficient members of society, with the opportunity of even being able to make money from their new skills.
