Biowatch SA and the Mgomanzi Seed Bank Project in the Eastern Cape aim to:
- Increase civil society and government commitment to the protection of biodiversity, promotion of sustainable agriculture and food security.
- Undertake research and analysis that fills the gaps left by the corporatisation of research, science & technology.
- Support small-scale farmers, local communities & service organisations.
- Increase awareness about the threat of social engineering and explore alternative approaches to agriculture security.
